Our range of hands-on courses are delivered by trained professionals and are accredited by the Energy & Utility Skills Register (EUSR).

Water hygiene

Who should attend?

Anyone who works on sites including service reservoirs, treatment works, pumping stations, springs, wells and boreholes, or who works with water mains or service pipes.

How is the course assessed?

Classroom session and multiple choice test.

What qualification will candidates receive?

The National Water Hygiene card.

How long is the course?

Half day.

Safety, Health and Environmental Awareness (SHEA) training

Who should attend?

Anyone working on construction sites.

What qualification will candidates receive?

Utility SHEA (Water). This is affiliated to the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS), allowing holders of the qualification to enter construction sites without having to complete a CSCS card.

How is the course assessed?

Classroom session and multiple choice test.

How long is the course?

One day.

Transition courses

Who should attend?

Anyone who has recently completed a SHEA (Water) course and has "Eligible for SHEA reciprocity" status.

How is the course assessed?

Classroom assessment and multiple choice test

What qualification will candidates receive?

Further SHEA qualifications in areas such as: Cross Country Pipelines and Health, Safety and Environment.

How long is the course?

Half day.

Mini digger training

Who should attend?

Well or less experienced mini digger operators.

How is the course assessed?

Practical tests and multiple choice theory test.

What qualification will candidates receive?

A certificate of attendance and they will meet the standards of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

How long is the course?

One to three days dependent on experience.

Banksman training

Who should attend?

Anyone working within a site environment with mobile plant and moving traffic.

How is the course assessed?

Practical tests and classroom theory assessment.

What qualification will candidates receive?

A certificate of attendance and they will have met the standards of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

How long is the course?

Half day.

Streetworks

Who should attend?

Anyone who works on highways, or whose work involves monitoring the operation of highways work.

How is the course assessed?

Theory and practical modules.

What qualification will candidates receive?

Registration or re-registration (needed every five years) on the Streetworks Qualification Register at either supervisor or operative level. Awarded by CABWI.

How long is the course?

Five days full course, or dependent on units being covered.

HIAB (lorry mounted crane) training

Who should attend?

Anyone using a lorry mounted crane.

How is the course assessed?

Practical tests and classroom theory assessment.

What qualification will candidates receive?

A certificate of attendance and they will have met the standards of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

How long is the course?

Full day

IOSH Working Safely

Who should attend?

Any employee or employer wishing to contribute to the ever-increasing demand for evidence of health and safety compliance in the workplace.

How is the course assessed?

Multiple choice test and 3x paper based hazard identification practical assessments.

What qualification will candidates receive?

IOSH Working Safely Certificate.

How long is the course?

One day.
