Facilities and location

Trent Valley Utility Training has all of the space and facilities to operate courses in comfort for small groups.

The classroom can take up to 16 candidates (maximum numbers vary between courses) and includes a 60 inch HD TV screen set up for computer connectivity.

There is an inside area for demonstrations and practical tests, such as mains drilling and tapping, fusion welding and service laying, as well as an internal plumbing system for fault finding and practical assessments.

Externally, the centre is equipped for full streetworks courses, mini digger training, lorry mounted crane assessments and banksman assessments. It also has a live mains network for connections, leak detection, mains tracing, pressure management meter/prv testing, sampling and washing out, as well as other standard network operations.

A refreshment area, containing a microwave, fridge, toaster, and tea and coffee making facilities is also available. Secure parking is available on site for up to 20 vehicles.

The centre, and its facilities, is also available for hire if you wish to deliver your own training or for holding meetings and management away days.

Centrally located in Staffordshire, the centre is close to Lichfield Trent Valley rail station and the A38 and is a short drive from the M6, M6 Toll and M42.
